For paving contractors

Get paving estimates on your calendar. Pay only when we put one there.

No retainer. No ad spend. You pay per qualified estimate request and per booked estimate meeting — nothing else.

Free to apply. No retainer, no contract.

We save these details as you go, so our team can help you finish signing up if you stop partway. We will only call you about your sign-up; we won't text you or add you to any list unless you finish and choose to.

A paving contractor on what working with us is like

Blacktop Pros runs the ads, asks the qualifying questions, and books the on-site estimate — then sends it straight to you by text or email — your choice at signup. No monthly retainer, no annual contract for marketing that may or may not work. You pay per qualified estimate request and per booked estimate meeting, and nothing else.

Applying costs nothing and commits you to nothing. We review your license and insurance before any estimate is sent to you.

Why this beats a marketing retainer

A retainer bills you the same whether the phone rings or not. This does not.

You are billed per qualified estimate request and per booked estimate meeting — never a flat monthly fee for "marketing services".

No ad spend of your own. We buy the traffic, run the funnel, and carry the cost of the requests that never qualify.

Unqualified people never reach you. They are screened out before a request is ever created, so you are not paying to sort through them.

Every charge is tied to a specific estimate request or a specific meeting on a specific date, in an append-only ledger you can reconcile line by line.

You choose the service area and the job types. Work outside them is not routed to you and is not billed to you.

How it works

Four steps. Three of them are ours.

  1. Apply and get verified

Tell us your service area, the work you take, and how to reach you. Then we contact you to collect a photo of your license and insurance — no scanner needed. Our team reviews them, and you go live once you are approved.

  2. We run the ads and the qualifying

Blacktop Pros runs the advertising and hosts the estimate request itself. Every homeowner or property manager answers the same structured qualifying questions before anything reaches you.

  3. They book the estimate before you hear about it

Qualified requests pick an on-site estimate slot inside the same form, give the job-site address, and agree in writing to be contacted about the appointment. We confirm the visit with them before you arrive.

  4. The booked estimate arrives by text or email

The job-site address, the answers they gave, and the appointment time come straight to you by text or email — your choice at signup. No app to install.

What "qualified" actually means here

Not a form fill. Not a name and a phone number. An estimate request only reaches you if all of this is true:

  • They answered every qualifying question, and the answers are structured fields — not a free-text note for you to interpret.
  • Residential: they are ready to start soon, their budget for the project is over $6,000, and they want a full overlay or a new install — not a patch.
  • Commercial: they gave the lot size and confirmed they are ready to move ahead soon.
  • They gave the job-site address, which is captured separately from their contact address — so you know what you are driving to.
  • They picked a specific estimate slot on a real calendar, so there is a real appointment, not a callback request.
  • They gave written consent to be contacted about the appointment, timestamped and stored with the exact wording they agreed to.
  • Anyone who fails a gate is closed out politely and never becomes a request — so you never see them and never pay for them.

Your service area, your job types

You set the boundaries during signup, and they are the routing rules — not a preference we note down and forget.

  • Pick the area you actually want to drive to on a map, or type the zip codes if that is faster. Either way you get the list back in plain text to check before you send it — a wrong area means wrong jobs, so you read it back rather than trust the picture.
  • A request outside your area is not yours, is not sent to you, and is not billed to you.
  • Pick the work you actually want — asphalt paving, driveways, parking lots, sealcoating. Work you did not pick is not routed to you.
  • Change your mind later by telling us — your coverage lives on your contractor record, not in a rep’s inbox.
  • Coverage is how estimates are routed. It is also how your rates are set, because pricing is scoped to geography.

How pricing works

We are not going to quote you a number on a web page, because a single number would be wrong for most of the map.

  • Rates are set per geography — by state, by region, and down to individual zip codes, with the most specific rate winning.
  • Every rate card is versioned. The rate that applied on the day a request was delivered is the rate you are billed, and it stays reproducible afterwards.
  • Two things are billable: a qualified estimate request delivered to you, and a booked estimate meeting. Nothing else.
  • You are billed only for what was actually delivered and verified. Every billable event carries a unique key, so the same request or the same meeting cannot be billed twice.
  • Your exact rates are confirmed with you in writing before you go live. Ask us for the rates in your area when you apply.

The consent and messaging side is handled

Texting and calling consumers in the US is regulated, and getting it wrong is expensive. That exposure sits with us, not with you.

  • Consumers opt in on our form, to Blacktop Pros, in writing — and we keep a timestamped record of the exact wording they agreed to.
  • Every outbound text, email, and call passes a single compliance gate: suppression list, consent scope, and quiet hours in the consumer’s local time.
  • STOP and HELP are honored automatically and immediately — a STOP ends every text to that number from that moment on. A request to stop calls or emails is honored just as fast.
  • Messaging to the consumer is sent by Blacktop Pros under our own registered sender identity. You do not need to register anything to receive estimates.

Questions contractors ask

What does an estimate cost me?

Two things are billable and nothing else: a qualified estimate request delivered to you, and a booked estimate meeting. The amount depends on where the work is, because rates are set by state, by region and down to individual zip codes. We confirm your exact rates with you in writing before you receive a single request — ask us for the rates in your area when you apply.

Am I locked into a contract?

No monthly retainer, no annual contract, and no minimum term. A month in which nothing was delivered to you costs you nothing, because the only thing that creates a charge is an estimate a homeowner confirms. Your rates and terms are agreed with you in writing before you go live.

Is the estimate exclusive to me?

An estimate is routed to one contractor by service area and job type — it is not blasted to a list of contractors to race each other to the phone. How routing works in your specific area is confirmed with you when you apply, alongside your rates.

What if an estimate request turns out to be junk?

Tell us. Every delivered request is a ledger line with the answers and the appointment attached, so a disputed request is reviewed against what was actually captured — not against memory. Nothing is billed for a request that was never delivered to you.

Can I pause new estimates when my crew is booked out?

Yes. Tell us and we stop routing work to you until you say otherwise. Nothing builds up while you are paused, because you are only ever billed for a request or a meeting that was actually delivered to you. Your service area and job types stay on your contractor record, so there is nothing to set up again when you want the work back.

How do the estimates reach me?

By text or email — your choice at signup. Each one carries the address, the answers the homeowner gave, and the appointment time, so you can act on it from your phone. There is no app to install.

Who talks to the homeowner before I get there?

Blacktop Pros does — to book the estimate, confirm it, and remind them before the visit. What happens on site, the quote, and the job itself are entirely yours.

Whose name is on the ads and the texts?

Ours. Blacktop Pros runs the advertising and sends the messaging under our own brand and our own registered sender identity, and consumers consent to us by name. You are introduced as their vetted contractor.

What do I need to apply?

Your business contact details, the area you cover, the work you want, and your license and insurance. You do not need a scanner: once the form is in, we contact you to collect a photo of each document, taken straight from your phone.

How long does approval take?

Applications go into a review queue and a person reviews them. We will tell you what is missing rather than leave you guessing, and you go live once your documents are approved.

Ready to fill the calendar?

Apply now, pick your service area and job types, and send your documents. Once you are approved, the estimates start arriving by text or email — your choice at signup.
