Privacy Policy
Who we are
Blacktop Pros ("we", "us") schedules free paving estimates performed by vetted contractors in our network; your request details go only to the contractor performing your estimate. Contact: support@blacktopprofessionals.com.
Information we collect
- Estimate requests: name, phone number, email, project address, and your answers to project questions (e.g. project type, timing, budget range, lot size) — submitted through our booking forms or through instant forms on platforms such as Facebook.
- Appointment and communication records: your scheduled estimate times and our messages and calls with you (including confirmation calls that use an automated voice assistant, which always identifies itself).
- Consent records: the time, wording, and source of any consent you give us to contact you.
- Website visits: the pages you open, the main buttons you press, the form steps you reach, the website or ad campaign that sent you, and whether you use a phone, tablet or computer.
How we use it
- To schedule your free paving estimate with a vetted contractor in our network. Your request details go only to the contractor performing your estimate.
- To confirm, remind, and reschedule your estimate appointment by email and phone, and by text message if you chose texts.
- To operate, invoice, and audit our service with the contractors we work with.
- To check whether a commercial job address is really a commercial property. For this, the job address alone is sent to a map provider (Google) that returns what is at that address, and the address together with the map result and your lot size is read by an AI service (Anthropic) that gives a plain answer. Neither receives your name, phone number, or email, and the AI service does not use this data to train its models.
- We count visits to our website ourselves, without cookies: which pages are opened, which main buttons are pressed and which steps of our forms are reached, along with the website or ad campaign that sent you and whether you are on a phone, tablet or computer. A random number that lasts only while your browser tab is open groups one visit together. We do not store your IP address, we do not link these counts to your name or your estimate request, and we do not share them with Meta or any advertiser — this happens the same way whether or not you allow advertising cookies.
Text messaging program (SMS terms)
- Text messages are optional: you get them only if you check the text-message box. They include appointment confirmations, reminders, and related service messages sent by Blacktop Pros about the estimate you requested.
- Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to stop texts at any time; reply HELP for help. To stop calls or emails, tell the caller, use the unsubscribe link, or email support@blacktopprofessionals.com — we honor it immediately.
- Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.
- We will not share your opt-in to an SMS campaign with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing you with the services of that campaign.
- No third-party marketing sharing: mobile numbers and SMS opt-in consent are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes. Your request details are shared only with the contractor performing your estimate, the service providers that deliver our messages, and the service providers that verify the property type of a job address (see “How we use it”).
- All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Calls
Your matched contractor, or our team, may call you by hand about the estimate you requested. Only if you check the automated-call box do we place appointment-confirmation calls that may use an automated or artificial voice. To stop calls, tell the caller or email support@blacktopprofessionals.com — we honor it immediately, along with quiet hours and do-not-call requests. Replying STOP stops texts.
Form data from Facebook/Meta
If you submit an instant form on Facebook, Meta transmits your form answers to us. We use them solely as described above, store them securely, and do not use Meta form data for any purpose unrelated to your estimate request.
Retention & your rights
We keep records only as long as needed for the purposes above and for legal, billing, and audit obligations (consent and opt-out records are kept as compliance evidence). You may request access, correction, or deletion of your information at support@blacktopprofessionals.com; we honor applicable state privacy rights (including under the CCPA/CPRA).
Security & changes
Data is stored with access controls and encryption in transit. We will post any changes to this policy on this page with an updated date.
